People often ask us for photography to use on their website, to give it a more professional look.
Rowena Morris runs The Wee Yoga Room in Bridge of Allan and is having her website designed. She came to ask if we could help her, and brought along one of her students, since she wanted to show her work in action.
Rowena specialises in Ashtanga yoga, and has trained in India, Bali, Australia, USA and the UK – lucky her! So she knows what she is talking about!!
We first met Rowena when she brought her lovely family in for Family Photography back in Christmas 2015 and so when she decided to have her professional photos done, she decided she liked Seppi’s style of photography and his relaxed approach. Photos shoots at Lighthouse Studios are informal, relaxed yet professional at the same time – meaning you get fantastic results.
Rowena was delighted with the photos and we look forward to seeing them on her website soon.

We recently had the pleasure of photographing at the stunning Achray House, Loch Earn, for the wedding of Shelley and Richard.
Achray House is a beautiful country hotel, in Fillans Perthshire overlooking Loch Earn within Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, a spectacular setting. The hotel is ideally situated as base to explore the Southern Highlands, Glencoe, West Coast around Oban, and towns like St Andrews, Dunkeld, Doone, Crieff and Killin.
It isn’t very often that a bride arrives by boat. The location was stunning, the atmosphere relaxed and intimate, and even the incessant rain didn’t dampen the spirits. Congratulations to Richard and Shelley.

We were recently asked to carry out some party photography at cromlix.
“There is a place. Like no place on Earth. A land full of wonder, mystery, and danger!” Alice in Wonderland
Anna Wilson, owner of Sublime Events Scotland called us recently to capture the delights of a Mad Hatters Tea Party that she was theming.
Anna from Sublime Events
The event took place at Cromlix House to celebrate a 70th birthday. Firstly here is the whole room set for the party. So much detail had gone into the table settings, and decor, making a perfect backdrop for the Mad Hatters Tea Party.
We just love the Alice in Wonderland cake and also the beautiful cupcakes too. And with the labels reading eat me – it was very tempting!
Then it was all about the detail – the teapot was glazed and fired especially by Playpots Ceramics in Stirling. And we love the bottles with the drink me labels. There were hand painted signs and just so many small details had been covered, so that everywhere you looked there was something else to marvel at!
We enjoyed very much photographing this beautiful themed party – everyone was wowed by how beautifully the room was transformed into a land of wonder.
Cromlix is a luxury hotel near Dunblane, owned by tennis star Andy Murray. It has been totally transformed and is a stunning backdrop for parties, events or intimate weddings.
If you are planning a party or an event Anna Wilson from Sublime Events Scotland takes the stress and hassle out of organising your day – so you can enjoy yourself and leave the details to the experts. Anna said she loved every minute of planning this party – it is so nice to get to use your imagination and then to see your ideas come to life. Then when the guests arrived it was so nice to see the delight in their eyes – a lovely surprise!

I was honoured when Audrey and Nick asked me to take their wedding photography in May this year at the stylish Hotel Colessio in Stirling.
Audrey takes your breath away with her stunning dress and perfect hair and makeup.
Audrey looking stunning before the wedding
We loved the bridesmaids outfits which tied in with the flowers supplied by Trudi Todd.
Then the wedding ceremony was full of emotion, lots of laughter and also some tears. Nick certainly looks very proud of his beautiful wife in these photographs.
Seppi (the photographer) always likes to photograph the day as it happens, and these photographs have captured the highly emotional wedding ceremony.
Of course then outside to capture all the guests – but there was one surprise special guest who Audrey arranged to pop along as a surprise for Nick – their treasure lovely wee dog – look very closely at the photo!
One very special visitor appeared for the photos
Then it was up to Stirling Castle to take a few photos. The weather was on our side!
And then it was the lads turn to show their true excitement at the marriage!
Then it was back to Colessio for the reception and one of my favourite photos of Audrey, who looks so relaxed here.
Then inside Colessio for the speeches and cake. And WHAT a wedding cake!!! All you Disney fans – eat your heart out at this….too good looking to eat…almost!
The wedding speeches had everyone in hysterics (as well as more tears)
Then it was on to the dancing – with their lovely lit dance floor everyone had a “ball” – ho ho!

When Stacey came in to have family photos done years ago with her sister, she said that if she ever got married she wanted Seppi to take the photos.
So here we are years on and Stacey was true to her word, and I was lucky enough to be asked to photograph their day which was full of fun and so much laughter right from the minute I arrived.
The wedding took place at The Parsonage at Dunmore Park which I love because you get exclusivity and it is a beautiful location.
First meet the lovely Stacey – her dress and flowers were simply stunning, and the bridesmaids dresses look fabulous. The fun began at Stacey’s parents’ house where the girls got ready.
Then meet Andy – it’s not often I get to photograph an Olympian and Commonwealth medal-winner – yes, Andy was on both teams for swimming.
The lads were great fun and made me feel welcome from the start.
The wedding ceremony was beautiful, and packed full of fun and laughter and I particularly liked the board with the order of service (see below) which focused on clapping and drinking with KISSING in red!
The weather was fantastic so we were able to get outside for some lovely photos, thank goodness because the grounds at Dunmore are stunning.
I love the photographs during the speeches because I have captured the hilarity we got from both Stacey and Andy. And what a cake! It wins my prize for the most edible-looking-cake I’ve seen in ages – I was tempted to steal a couple (but I refrained!)
The night was rounded off with some dancing (and then the photobooth came out for some evening fun too. Thanks for booking me guys, it was fun!
Well, one of our recent weddings certainly wasn’t for the faint-hearted. Our couple braved all 246 steps before tying the knot at the top of the Wallace Monument.
James and Tanya travelled up from Yorkshire for a beautiful intimate wedding with family and friends. They were blessed with incredible weather, which was very lucky, because at 220ft high, you certainly are exposed to the elements.
It certainly was an early start for everyone – the wedding itself was at 9am, by which time Tanya had to have got ready and travelled all the way from Dunblane, posed for some photos and then made it up all 246 steps.
And with an ex-military partner Tanya didn’t have the option of being fashionably late! It certainly was the earliest wedding I have ever photographed.
But once the ceremony started, it was clear why James and Tanya had chosen this spot – the views were out of this world, stunning (they were so lucky, it isn’t always like that), and had such a lovely intimate feeling with just close family and friends attending – it was truly special.
After the ceremony we moved onto the next beautiful location for the wedding breakfast, The Dunblane Hydro. We had some photo opportunities outside (we were sooo lucky with the weather) – it was a truly relaxed affair.
I really enjoyed taking photos at James and Tanya’s wedding, they took a gamble (getting married at the top of a high exposed monument at 9am!) and it totally paid off. Thanks for choosing me!

When the lovely Paula popped in to ask if we did pet photography we showed her some photography we’ve done previously – obviously we talked about the obvious – never work with children or animals!! The photo shoot was great fun, Ziggy the dog was in her element, a true model in the making.
After taking lots of different poses of Paula, Kevin and Ziggy, they decided to get some Photographs of just Paula and Kevin. Ziggy was having none of it – errr what are you doing guys, where do you want ME? What do you mean you’re carrying on WITHOUT me? So he decided to do what “all the kids are doing” and carry out the perfect pet photo bomb. Impressive we think!
Ziggy the dog in her recent photoshoot
Paula came back to view the photographs and was delighted with the results – a very photogenic family. This is our favourite because it captured Ziggy’s personality.

We’ve had a busy summer, people take advantage of schools being off and come in for their family photographs. One family have been coming to Lighthouse since we opened up in Bridge of Allan 12 years ago, each time bringing a new addition to the family. We love that even though they have moved away from the area, Mark and Katherine still come to our studio in Stirling bringing their three children with them.
They called and asked if we do Pet Photography? Of course we do – so we got the pleasure of meeting Oscar.
The photo session was great fun – we have got to know each other well over the years so the kids are relaxed and love coming here. Oscar was the life and soul of the party, and he helped me create photographs we will never forget.
This photo made my day – I was trying to get a lovely mother/daughter moment and Oscar decided it was time to PHOTOBOMB! Love it!
Mark and Katherine loved their photos and now have some lovely photos on their walls of the whole family – with Oscar too this time.
We were delighted to be asked to photograph the wedding celebration of Fiona and Michel at the splendid Culcreuch Castle https://www.culcreuch.com/
Fiona from Scotland and Michel from Germany came over to celebrate their wedding with family and friends. We have photographed many family events over the years, so this was a great day for me, I knew so many people and it was a great atmosphere.
It was the first time we had to photograph the throwing of the bouquet twice (butterfingers) and the girl who caught it was very very happy!
